The Joy of Bad Hair Days - Pixel Has Bed Head

Bad hair days. We all have them. What separates the dogs from the puppies is how you deal with them. Are you going to freak out and get stressed over a few (thousand) hairs out of whack of are you going to stand tall and make others think you're starting a new trend in hair fashion? Think about it...and remember this wise Pixel quote, aka Pixelism:
"Don't let bad hair day get you down. Just smile...like you meant to style it that way."

Pixel's Answer to Writer's Block on #WordlessWednesday

I've been suffering from a bit of writer's block as of late, so today's #WordlessWednesday seemed like the perfect time to "fess up" to the fact and perhaps break the trend.
They say that a writer should write everyday, or at least least make an attempt to write. I come from a family of brilliant writers, so I listen to their sage advice as well. My Grampy says that a writer needs to "show up" in front of that laptop or keyboard each day because inspiration can come at any moment. I say why sit in front of the computer when I can lay my entire face and head on the laptop?
I'll let you know when inspiration arrives.

A special message from Pixel and her Mommy Jenny:
The pet blogging world and veterinarian world lost a dear person yesterday when Dr. Lorie Huston, DVM passed away suddenly from a severe illness that caught everyone who knew her off guard. We are all in shock. We got to meet her at the BlogPaws 2013 Conference. She was so kind and a pleasure to talk to as she shared her expertise and love of animals. The BlogPaws team is helping to find homes for her 6 cats.
Please hold your loved ones tight, tell them you love them every single day and if you are ill, let someone know so that if anything ever happens to you, they can help. Wishing all my pet blogging and pet loving friends lots of love, hugs and happiness!

The Joy of Wash Day...but are the Toys Happy?

Wash Day.
Mine and my sisters' toys had that "not so fresh" feeling to them, so I put them in my "Pixenator 5000 Super Ultra Toy Cleaning Machine" to ensure they came out smelling and looking newer than the day they came home to live with us.

Some of them protested. I'm not naming names, but green dragons and large ginger breads can be fussy.

However, I understood their concerns completely, as I'm not crazy about bath time myself. So I promised them it was perfectly safe and that they'd all get treats afterwards.

Everyone agreed...

...except Mr. Deedle-deedle Dee. Don't let that smile fool you...he's always been a trouble maker.
Are your toys happy on Wash Day? I'd love to hear about it in a comment. And don't forget, you can follow my additional adventures on Facebook and Twitter too.

A Twist of Fate on Pixel's "Wordless Wednesday"

Image of Pixel Blue Eyes sitting "Wordless" in front of her laptop

Wordless Wednesday. It's supposed to be a happy pet blogging day where we take a break from the multitude of "words" that are our trade and post images of meaning, joy or substance. Yet today of all days, my words fail me. As I sit barren of words in front of this tormentor that is my laptop, I feel as though Wordless Wednesday is teasing me. Oh what I would give for a melodious set of words to come to me now.
What would Shakespeare have done if such a thing as "Wordless Wednesday" had occurred in his day? Would he, too, have been haunted by the mere mention as he sought to find the words to his next great masterpiece? Did he have times where it felt like the creativity of his mind was locked away, as if his quill was an old chicken wing with which he could not pick that lock?
Image of Pixel imagining that the well of her creativity has dried up!
Oh Wordless Wednesday, what hast thou done to me? Oh to find the words...to unlock the prison that is my mind and let the well of inspiration spring forth in a torrent of brilliant words. Let the waves of creativity crash down on "Wordless Wednesday" like it was high tide and a full moon.
Cruelty, thy name is Wordle...
What Mommy? It's past my lunch time and I just need to eat? Well why didn't you say so before?

Next time, remind me to bring a snack or something before I sit down to write, for goodness sake!

The Joy of Playtime with Friends on a Winter Afternoon - Pixel's Wordless Wednesday

It's very cold and snowy today, so I could not really go outside and play. But my little friend Blue Bunny decided she'd get me to play inside with her while the winter sun shone through the window of our room. We had a wonderful time together!

The Joy of Being Cute - Pixel's "Puppy Dog Eyes"

As every dog knows, being cute and adorable is important. Just like the master of any fine skill, dog's have to practice some of their best techniques to stay sharp, er, I mean, cute and cuddly. This is one of my best "Puppy Dog Eyes" looks that I give Mommy sometimes. What do you think? Is it working?
