Sharing Selfie Sunday With My New Sister Jellie

Hi friends!  I know it's been a while since you heard from me. I took a hiatus from blogging this summer and in that time, a lot of changes have occurred.
One of the best things to happen is that I now have a I now have a little sister named Jellie. She is a beautiful, sweet ball of energy and love who has blessed our family with immense joy.
Jellie and I have so much fun with each other! Today we "borrowed" Mommy's phone so we could take some photos together. Jellie can be a little camera shy, so we took some 'silly selfies' to get her feeling confident. By the end of her selfie session, she didn't want to give the camera phone back to Mommy!
I think Jellie is well on her way to being a supermodel. What do you think?
Have fun looking through our fun selfies posted below and tell me which ones are your favorite. And please give a warm welcome to little Jellie. She said she's looking forward to helping me on my blog.

Jellie and I are taking part in the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop, hosted by my good friend Janet Blue and her Kitties of "The Cat on my Head" blog. It's such fun! Check out the "meow mix" below of cute kitties and doggies.
So tell me...how was your Sunday friends?

Silly Sunday Selfies - Pixel's Pre-Grooming Selfie Extravaganza

Before getting groomed today by Mommy, I nabbed her cell phone and snapped a few serious yet silly selfies of me looking like Wolverine's little sister. Or am I Chewbacca's twin sister? I lost track.

So which overly hairy Pixel selfie was your favorite? I'll be doing a blog post about my big grooming event soon, but in the meantime check out all my fellow pet bloggers below and see their awesome Sunday Selfies for today.

The Joy of a Bad Hair Day - Pixel's Wednesday Words of Wisdom

Pixel's Wednesday Words of Wisdom: Smile & Go With It!
I'd like to share some simple yet very helpful "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" with you my friends. It's made a huge difference in my life, and it might make a difference in yours as well.
My advice is simple: next time you have a "bad hair day" don't let it bring you down. Don't fret over it being "unruly". Let your bad hair day become a joyful day!
Let your hair do it's own thing. Just walk out the door with your hair all crazy, face the day and SMILE as big as you can...as if you wanted it to look that way. Walk with confidence. Walk with swagger. Tip the waiter an extra 10%. Make others feel good throughout the day and it'll make you feel good too!
Who knows...you might even start a new hair trend!
Do you have some Wednesday Words of Wisdom to share with me? I'd love to hear them. Just leave me a comment below friends!
And don't forget to see what my fellow pet blogger friends are up to on this Wordless Wednesday. Some of us are more "wordy" than others, BOL, but I promise it's always entertaining.

Pixel's Professional Survivalist Series: Function Meets Fashion - Being Prepared is Always in Style

Pixel Blue Eyes here, taking another break from my hard core survivalist training to bring you new information that will help you become as good a survivalist as I am. I'm currently reporting from my hidden survivalist bunker. I can't tell you exactly where it is, as that is part of my survival, but I CAN tell you that I am still on the East Coast...oh no, I've said too much already. Anyways...

I take my training and what being a "survivalist" means very seriously. As a professional survivalist, I am constantly mastering new ways to better survive in case a tragic cat-astrophy, Army-gettin' or a dreaded Walking Fred attack occurs. Even if something as simple as a Tiger-Werewolf-Monkey escapes from wherever Tiger-Werewolf-Monkeys come from and invades my yard or home, I must be in tip top form to thwart those attacks.
I've mastered my evasive maneuvers, become quite skilled at being a ninja, am adept at "blending in" with the Walking Freds (always keep Strawberry Jam handy), and even figured out how to trade peacefully with other survivalists. I can use tools, I have LOTS of camouflage items, I know how to seek out edible (and not so edible) plants, and I know how to store (as well as wear) pumpkin and strawberry jam like no one else.
But through all of this, there is one very important aspect of being a survivalist that must not be missed. That is the concept of looking good while you survive! Yes, it's often put by the wayside, but I am here to tell you today that function and fashion go hand in hand. Having to survive a "Walking Fred" attack can be detrimental to your self esteem as you deal with everything involved in your survival. But, if you look good while you evade detection, why that just makes you feel a bit better about things.
For example, my camo hat is great for blending into the surrounding trees, shrubs and ground, but it also looks very nice on my head. And my camo shirt is highly functional at hiding me in plain sight when there's snow on the ground, however the nice pink collar really brings out my natural coloring. I feel pretty while I blend in!
So, as you prepare for your own survivalist training, remember these few Pixel Survivalist Training ideas for today:
1. Function and Fashion really can go hand in hand. Buy things that are both helpful and look good.
2. Good self-esteem might help you think more clearly when deciding how to make your escape.
3. Being prepared is ALWAYS in style!
I am taking part in the Wordless Wednesday blog hop hosted by my friends at BlogPaws! Check out some of the other pet bloggers below for some more fun blog posts.

The Joy of No Tail Pain Today - Pixel Plays in Celebration

I've been dealing with an especially difficult tail nub nerve pain time since Valentine's Day, hence my lack of blogging, but Monday I was a different dog! I finally got some real relief to where I was a bundle of Pixel fun with Mommy, who was working from home. I spent LOTS of time bringing her toys, dancing into the room with a different toy each time. I had her in hysterics! Never mind that she had meetings all day as she worked from home. She did take a few breaks to indulge me and my Kong Wubba playing self. Here's her favorite photo that REALLY shows how much better I was feeling.

A Twist of Fate on Pixel's "Wordless Wednesday"

Wordless Wednesday. It's supposed to be a happy pet blogging day where we take a break from the multitude of "words" that are our trade and post images of meaning, joy or substance. Yet today of all days, my words fail me. As I sit barren of words in front of this tormentor that is my laptop, I feel as though Wordless Wednesday is teasing me. Oh what I would give for a melodious set of words to come to me now.
What would Shakespeare have done if such a thing as "Wordless Wednesday" had occurred in his day? Would he, too, have been haunted by the mere mention as he sought to find the words to his next great masterpiece? Did he have times where it felt like the creativity of his mind was locked away, as if his quill was an old chicken wing with which he could not pick that lock?
Oh Wordless Wednesday, what hast thou done to me? Oh to find the words...to unlock the prison that is my mind and let the well of inspiration spring forth in a torrent of brilliant words. Let the waves of creativity crash down on "Wordless Wednesday" like it was high tide and a full moon.
Cruelty, thy name is Wordle...
What Mommy? It's past my lunch time and I just need to eat? Well why didn't you say so before?

Next time, remind me to bring a snack or something before I sit down to write, for goodness sake!
This is a blog hop sponsored by my good friends at BlogPaws. Let's go see what other creative Wordless Wednesday posts my friends have.
