The Joy of Leaping into a Brand New Year - Happy 2016!

Happy New Year friends!! It's 2016 and I am so excited about all the wonderful and exciting opportunities this leap year might bring. That's right, 2016 is a leap year. That means we technically have one extra day to do good things, to follow through on something we promised ourselves we'd accomplish, but most importantly, it's one extra day to be with the ones we love and care about.
This year I want to focus on blogging a little more. Not to overwhelm myself, but just write a few more little blog posts, little Pixel snippets of fun. I have so many grand ideas in my doggie head that I wind up thinking so much about how I want to do it and then never actually DO it. This year will be different. I just have a feeling! Let's all make a pact to do more of the things we want to do to feel good about ourselves. Sound good?

There's no doubt you have talent. You're good at what you do. Let's go out and be the best at what we do, no matter how big or small it is. No matter what kind of year 2015 might have been for you, 2016 will be even better friends. Starting today, you and I now have 366 blank pages of a new chapter in our life....so, with joy in our hearts, let's start writing some happy adventures!

Pixel & Pinkie Duckie Try Avoiding Temptation in the New Year

We all have our weaknesses...mine is food that seems lonely. I just want to give it a nice home with me. I'm working hard at not giving in to that temptation in 2015. I've already faltered once when Mommy walked away from her yummy sandwich for a moment. I thought she left it for me. I thought wrong. It was a harrowing 5 minutes as I had to sit on the hassock and "think about what I had done" in a "time out" in which I was not allowed back on the bed with her. Separation from Mommy can be brutal. After the five minutes, I offered her my lunch to eat, but she declined. I apologized, she forgave me & we snuggled together for some time. I do hate those times of weakness.

So, after that now infamous "Mommy Sandwich Snatching Incident", I'm looking temptation in the eyes (or in the bag of treats) and saying, "No more!" Besides, I've found that looking cute while sitting close to my Auntie while SHE eats guarantees me a few bites of whatever she's eating that is dog safe... Mommy had NO idea this was going on til she saw it the other morning. I'd better make sure she doesn't see that again or my treat ticket right there will dry up! Now where was I? Oh yes, looking temptation in the eyes...

"...NO Pinkie Tuskadero Duckie, I will NOT "split the bag of Rice Chex treats with you 50/50". I can't believe you are asking me that. How can you even think that?"
"... You know you'd never be able to eat more than 20%."

Happy late #WordlessWednesday friends!! This is a blog hop, hosted by my friends at BlogPaws. Check out some of my fellow pet bloggers by clicking the links below and see what they are doing in the early new year! Care to link up with the hop? Instructions are below....

The Joy of Dreaming BIG in 2014 - Happy New Year!

What an exciting week it has been! A brand new year has come to town, and I am welcoming it with open arms and paws. In fact, I dressed up in my best princess outfit to give it a proper welcome.
I see great things in store for 2014 for me, my blog and the Pixel Blue Eyes conglomeration. I bet you didn't realize I had a conglomeration, did you? Well neither did I until I looked it up, BOL! Seriously, I am so grateful for this new year that brings new opportunities to realize my dreams. It feels like a new chance to do great things, help more people, share more smiles, be even more thankful for all the good in my life, and of course love even more.
I told Mommy a couple of months ago that I wanted to redesign my blog to make it a bit more professional looking. I am, after all, a professional blogging doggie. So, she and I have been busy planning and designing, updating and changing things. I oversee it all, and I am very happy with the new look so far. We have the template complete, the new colors updated, the right side banner looking clean and sharp, and my first 'tabbed' section. I wanted all of this part done by the new year, and by golly, we reached that goal! I felt we should complete the "Meet Pixel Blue Eyes" portion of my newly revamped blog first. I wanted to share a little more about me that a lot of people might not know. I hope you like it. You'll have to read it and tell me what you think.
We also updated the banner to make it a bit more fun, like my business cards are. See? Eventually ALL things Pixel, including Facebook, Twitter, and my other social media accounts, will match so there will be instant recognition no matter where people go to find me. It's all part of my BIG DREAM to share my joy, fun and adventures with even more people. I also want to attend BlogPaws 2014, which brings me to my next dream: I want to get hired by more companies. You clearly can't go to Vegas without sponsors, and the funding needed. It's just a reality of business. You'd hire me, right? I could sell ice cubes to ice cube vendors if you wanted!
Another big dream of mine is to have my favorite toy companies hire me to be their official tester and/or shopper of all the toys they make...ones that are my size of course. I'd sub hire a couple of my big dog friends to test the larger toys. Then I could travel the world, sharing the wonderful joys of the toys as part of my job description!! This is the year of dreaming BIG for this little girl. And of course, I really want to work with the wonderful companies I've already worked with (you know who you are) a LOT more...hint hint. There's no limit to the possibilities.
So, what are your big dreams for 2014? Why not just let it out, you've got to tell someone...why not me? Leave me a comment on your big dream of 2014 if you dare. No dream is too big. Trust me on that one!
