The Joy of the Coming of Spring - Pixel's First Spring Poem

It has turned to be a tough winter for a lot of people across the U.S. and abroad. Many tough snow storms have wreaked havoc on many locations. However, spring in in the air and on our minds now that it is March, so I wrote a short poem to get us in the mood.

Smiling Pixel Blue Eyes with Pink Flower Ribbons in her Hair
Snow is on the ground, but I will not wear a frown.
Joy is in my heart so I'll let that light a spark.
I can handle any storm, I can deal with any weather,
As long as I have you, we can go through it together.
Spring is in the air, I see smiles everywhere,
I think that I shall grow pretty flowers in my hair.

I hope your day is filled with sunshine and flowers, whether outside or in your heart friends. And remember to always wear a smile. It makes you feel good inside and out and you just don't know how it will make someone else feel good too!

I'd love to know if any of my friends are experiencing some spring like weather, so let me know in a comment.

The Joy of a Good Quote - Pixel Shares Her Favorite Pixelisms

A good quote can make you smile, make you think, or get you motivated. I love positive quotes, which often encourage you, warm your heart or remind you about what is important in life. When my good friend Spencer the Goldendoodle invited me to take part in the Quote Hop, I was very excited and couldn't wait to dig up some good ones. I am only allowed to share 3 quotes, which is devilishly difficult to do, but I promised Spencer I'd follow the rules to the letter.
There are many famous quotes that I love, but as I searched to find just the right ones, I realized something. I often make up Pixel quotes, or 'Pixelisms' as Mommy calls them, on my own, and have shared them with Mommy and all my friends over the years. So, instead of sharing famous quotes for this 'Quote Hop', I thought I'd share some favorite 'Pixelisms'. Feel free to 'quote' me anytime, and share the posters. Who knows, one day maybe they will be famous and shared by others too!
Pixel quote "Smiles are like spring flowers" poster showing Pixel smiling
"Smiles are like Spring Flowers. Each one is Unique, Fresh and Beautiful!"
I originally 'quoted' this back in March 2015 on my Facebook page to bring a few smiles out of my friends. I think every smile is beautiful. You can never have too many smiles in your life or in the world. Big or small, I love them all!
Pixel smiles and says "Find a reason to smile each day. It matters because YOU matter."
"Find a Reason to Smile Each Day. It Matters Because YOU Matter."
I quoted this one on March 2014 on Facebook as well. I believe it's important for everyone to seek reasons to smile in their day, no matter what might be going on around them. Even if you are having "the worst day ever", you can still find some reason to smile. It can be over the tiniest thing, but it matters if you can find those little things to make you smile. It's especially good if you can make someone else smile too...who knows how much your little act of kindness can change a person's world around!
Pixel says "Don't let a bad hair day get you down. Just smile...like you meant to style it that way!"
"Don't let a 'Bad Hair Day' get you down. Just smile....like you meant to style it that way!"
Finally, a silly one that I first posted in January 2014. I was having one heck of a bad hair day when Mommy took several photos of me. I didn't even know until I saw the images later, so I thought, hey, wouldn't it be easier if we all just smile through our "bad hair days" and pretend like it was intentional. It might make everyone else think it's a new style. Isn't that how new trends get started? Confidence is catching.
Thank you Spencer for inviting me to do the Quote Hop. It was fun finding the right "Pixelisms" to share! I now challenge three of my fellow pet blogging friends to the Quote Hop. I challenge The Cat on my HeadThe Chesnut Mutts, and Pawsitively Pets.
The rules of the Quote Hop are as follows:
Thank the blogger who nominated you.
Post three of your favorite quotes (this can be done all in one post or on three consecutive days).
Nominate 3 bloggers and challenge them.
I hope everyone got a little smile and enjoyment from each Pixelism. Which one did you like best?
Do you have a favorite quote? I'd love to have you share it in a comment below!

The Joy of a Bad Hair Day - Pixel's Wednesday Words of Wisdom

Pixel's Wednesday Words of Wisdom: Smile & Go With It!
I'd like to share some simple yet very helpful "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" with you my friends. It's made a huge difference in my life, and it might make a difference in yours as well.
My advice is simple: next time you have a "bad hair day" don't let it bring you down. Don't fret over it being "unruly". Let your bad hair day become a joyful day!
Let your hair do it's own thing. Just walk out the door with your hair all crazy, face the day and SMILE as big as you can...as if you wanted it to look that way. Walk with confidence. Walk with swagger. Tip the waiter an extra 10%. Make others feel good throughout the day and it'll make you feel good too!
Who knows...you might even start a new hair trend!
Do you have some Wednesday Words of Wisdom to share with me? I'd love to hear them. Just leave me a comment below friends!
And don't forget to see what my fellow pet blogger friends are up to on this Wordless Wednesday. Some of us are more "wordy" than others, BOL, but I promise it's always entertaining.

The Joy of a Healthy Smile - Pixel Introduces New #Milk-Bone Brushing Chews

I love to smile. In all honesty, it is one of my very favorite things to do in all the world! A healthy smile is beautiful and the more smiles you give, the more you get back...it's contagious. Since I love to smile so much, I like to keep my doggie teeth clean and healthy. Yes, dogs need to have good oral hygiene just like humans do. In fact, dental health and oral hygiene is just as important for a dog as it is for a human, so it is essential for pet parents to keep their dog's teeth as healthy as can be.

For years, Mommy has brushed my teeth. It is a routine I am used to, though I'm still not too crazy about the process. So, imagine my joy at learning that Milk-Bone® has introduced a new product that is clinically proven to be as effective as brushing a dog’s teeth twice per week based on the reduction of tartar build-up and bad breath.
Introducing Milk-Bone Brushing Chews for Dogs!

As soon as I heard about it, I signed up to help introduce it. The new Milk-Bone Brushing Chews for dogs is a great tasting bone-shaped chew treat, covered with nubs and ridges designed to clean like bristles on a toothbrush. The bone has a unique 75 degree twist design that helps dogs maneuver the chew to clean down to the gum line, including hard-to-reach back teeth.
(Be sure to read through to the end for a special surprise friends!)

Clinical trials demonstrated that Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews for dogs are effective in reducing tartar, plaque and halitosis, aka "bad breath". In fact, Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews are so effective that they have earned the trusted Veterinary Oral Health Council’s (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance, the pet industry’s equivalent of the American Dental Association (ADA), for "retarding calculus accumulation" or reducing tartar build-up. Very impressive!

Mommy says I've never had bad breath, but not all dogs are that lucky! I insisted that I should try one out. First, I inspected the packaging. The box reminds me of the look of a traditional toothpaste box. The chew bones are in a resealable plastic bag inside the box. Smells yummy to me! As a matter of fact, 99% of dogs who tested the chews showed them to be highly palatable. Ever wonder who the 1% is? Personally, I couldn't wait to try one!

Mommy took a brushing chew bone out of the bag. You could instantly see the twisted shape, as well as the nubs and ridges designed to help clean even hard to reach back teeth. I gave her my best "Pixel Smile" as my way of saying "Please can I have it now".

This is such a nice size bone for me. I'm trying the "Mini" chews for small dogs. To give you an idea of the size, I am an 11 pound Miniature Schnauzer.
They also have a "small/medium" size as well.

Now this is what I'm talking about! Imagine being able to clean your teeth just by eating a yummy treat! I bet Mommy really wishes they had the human version of these!
The chews take a bit of gnawing to really "sink your teeth into them" but that is how they are able to clean your teeth. I'm certainly not complaining. Oral care for dogs has never been so tasty!

In combination with a veterinary dental check-up at least annually, daily use of Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews helps to ensure good oral hygiene and dental health for America’s dogs. What a fun way to help kick dog periodontal disease to the curb!
So, ask for it by name next time you go to the store. Tell them you want the new Milk-Bone Brushing Chews(TM) for dogs...don't settle for anything less.

Okay, are you ready for the special surprise I told you was coming?? Ready for my exciting news? I've been dying to tell you!

The Joy of Being Mommy's Special Valentine

Pixel Blue Eyes wishes you a Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day friends! I surprised Mommy today by pulling out, of all toys, my special "Puppy Love" red heart toy and brought it to her. I knew that she would know immediately what I was saying to her...that I am her special Valentine and she is mine. She absolutely loved that I brought this to her. We know each other's hearts because we were meant to be. Isn't it wonderful to have a special Valentine who just happens to be your soul mate? Mommy sure is mine!

The Joy of Hanging Out with Mommy on a Snowy Day

I love it when Mommy gets to work from home, like she did on this Wordless Wednesday. It snowed a lot the day before and overnight, so getting out of the driveway was out of the question. Good news for getting to spend the day watching her work. Of course I made her take breaks as needed.
